I find myself caught up in my usual book loves of Romance and Fantasy, while not experiencing classic literature that’s shaped our book-loving community and market. I was also inspired by Jack Edwards, of YouTube, with his video on the 100 book scratch poster that he purchased. So when I saw Chapters/Indigo had a similar poster (created by Gift Republic), I immediately bought it in hopes it would inspire, and motivate, me to read these books that are typically outside of my preferred genre.
There are also some books on this list that I've read before, for school, that I hope to reread for enjoyment and entertainment rather than completing a homework assignment and not being able to fully appreciate what these books have to offer in their words and wisdom.
So, welcome to my journey to complete this scratch-off list and see if I find any new favourites!
I don’t plan on finishing this poster this year, but it serves as a reminder to read these books, especially since some are already currently sitting on my bookshelf.
